Karen will guide you through your real estate journey, ensuring you are confident that you have made informed and intelligent decisions, and are pleased with the outcome of your real estate transaction for years to come.
Working with both buyers and sellers, Karen specializes in communities, whether gated or not, with HOA’s. Many of her clients are relocating to the area or seeking vacation home. Having moved to the area in 2008, without knowing anyone, she understands the concerns and confusion out-of-area buyers may face in both hot and cold markets,
Karen delivers unparalleled personal service, offering candid advice, extensive market knowledge, and meticulous attention to the details and issues that emerge during a sale or purchase. She works in your best interest, employing exceptional listening skills, market analysis, and proactive problem-solving. Karen “negotiates to yes” and win- win solutions by leveraging information, anticipating responses, suggesting creative terms, adapting to the other agent's preferred work style, and remaining composed.
The keys to her success are a strong work ethic, systematic processes, clear communication, and willingness to embrace new technologies and best practices as they emerge over time.
Since 2012, Karen has sold over $82,000,000 in real estate properties and helped over 175 families realize their dreams. Her passion for this business, and the very real desire to help her clients make their next move, launched Karen into the ranks of Asheville's top-producing real estate agents by 2015. Her business is now based on more than 90% repeat business or referrals from satisfied clients. She hope you will join those ranks.
Western North Carolina is the place she was meant to be. Karen hope you'll feel the same, and discover, with her— if you haven't already — everything this beautiful area has to offer.
More About Me
The Asheville area is now my home, and I couldn't be happier, but it took a few stops to finally get here. I was born in Canton, Ohio -- and attended high school in Culver, Indiana. From there I turned south, attending Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. After graduating I headed north to New York City, climbing the corporate ladders at a number of money center banks, and eventually running a private banking group at J. P. Morgan Chase. Then love struck at a high school reunion, and I was soon married, with a son, 2 dogs and 2 cats and living on the outskirts of Malibu, CA. With a family claiming the bulk of my time, I became a real estate investor- buying, remodeling, landscaping and selling houses for about 5 years.
While there was much to love about Southern California, my husband and I eventually decided it was time to move a little closer to our family and our roots. We became great students of those ""Places Rated"" places, and we are thrilled with where we settled down. Mountains, hiking trails, great weather, fabulous restaurants, golf around every corner, skiing a short drive away “ and great friends who share a common belief: That living the ""Good Life“ whatever that means to you, begins by choosing where you want to live, not where you have to.
In 2010 I reentered the job market, and worked approximately two years as a licensed mortgage broker. This experience has been invaluable, allowing me to provide necessary insight and advice to both my buyers and sellers. It also helped me to identify and work for what I believe is the best real estate company in Western North Carolina.
In 2012 I finally moved on to what has always fascinated me - buying and selling residential real estate. I now live and breathe the business and make it my goal to only work with the very best professionals and service providers I can find - including attorneys, inspectors, mortgage consultants, contractors, painters, landscaper and so on. I am passionate about this business which requires my full time commitment. If I'm not with one of my clients, on a listing appointment or previewing houses, I'm at a home inspections, brainstorming on how to best market one of our listings, drafting copy for our home advertisements and videos or holding an open house. - Unless that is, I'm out hiking with my family or dining out at one of the many excellent restaurants that keep cropping up in this town.
I hope you'll enjoy living here as much as we do.
